The fifteenth day of August of the Chinese lunar calendar is a relatively grand day, because it is the traditional Chinese Mid-Autumn Reunion Festival. Want to understand our Chinese culture?
Before the Zhou Dynasty, people had the custom of moon worship, moon mythology and Mid-Autumn Festival sacrifices. But these elements alone did not form the current Mid-Autumn Festival.
In the Han Dynasty, the Mid-Autumn Festival worshiping the moon was basically a royal monopoly. Until the Tang Dynasty, the record of ordinary people worshiping the moon was still extremely rare. The modern Mid-Autumn Festival began in the early Tang Dynasty. In that era when there was no pollution and light pollution, the moon was extremely shining. The upper-class society of the Tang Dynasty developed the trend of admiring the moon on August 15 when the moon was the best. To the mid-late Tang Dynasty, Mid-Autumn Festival moon watching was a national custom.
When the Mid-Autumn Festival in Song Dynasty reached its climax, the Mid-Autumn Festival had a general leisure and elegance and a feeling of being close to nature. Poor people are pawnbrokers, and they have to change their wine. This evening, the shops are open until three or five in the morning, and there is an endless stream of tourists who enjoy the moon. Just like: Meng Yuan recorded the grand occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival in Bianjing in "Tokyo Dream Hualu": ??each hotel re-decorated the facade, dressed up the colorful buildings, and used bamboo poles to pick out the flags painted with drunken immortals. Everyone on the street was vying to drink, and by 11 or 12 noon, all the wines in the hotels were all sold out, and one after another pulled out the tricks. During the Mid-Autumn Festival, shrimp and crabs are fattening, pomegranates, pears, dates, chestnuts, grapes, oranges and other fruits are rushing to the market. On the night of the Mid-Autumn Festival, the wealthy and wealthy people dressed up the pavilions, towers and pavilions very beautifully, and ordinary people also went to the restaurant to occupy a good position to enjoy the moon. There was the sound of silk and bamboo everywhere, until late at night, people who were not going out at home listened to the sound of music coming from a distance, as if they were floating from a cloud. The children played in the streets all night. The night market was full of people until dawn.
In the Ming Dynasty, the Mid-Autumn Festival customs no longer resembled those of the Tang and Song Dynasties, and the romantic and lyrical tradition of admiring the moon was diminished. People's eagerness to admire the moon disappeared, and even the Mid-Autumn Festival activities of various families did not necessarily include moon admiration. Instead, moon worship has become an important part of the Mid-Autumn Festival custom.
In the Song Dynasty, there was also moon worship. At that time, both men and women could worship, asking the moon god to bless themselves, young people seeking fame and fame, and young girls seeking to be as beautiful as Chang'e. In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, worshipping the moon became a woman's patent. Moon worship is a tribute to the moon god. In modern society, the custom of worshipping the moon has basically disappeared.
Family reunion was also officially linked to the Mid-Autumn Festival during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The Mid-Autumn Festival has the name of "Reunion Festival", and eating special Mid-Autumn Mooncakes has also become a symbolic activity of reunion. There was a custom at that time that a married woman must be in her parents-in-law’s house on the Mid-Autumn Festival, otherwise it would not be called a family reunion.
The Mid-Autumn Festival is a day for family reunion. I hope to use the opportunity of employees to go home for the holiday to express the company’s gratitude and sincere greetings to the employees’ parents and family members. Employees work in the company on weekdays and rarely have time to spend time with their parents and family members. Let parents and family members rest assured that we can actively deliver positive information and energy to them, let them feel the sincerity and intentions of the company, and believe that it will play a certain role in establishing a good company image, stabilizing the workforce, and enhancing employee cohesion.
The Mid-Autumn Festival is coming in 2021. In order to reflect the company's care for employees and make them feel the joy of the festival, the Human Resources Department specially applied for the distribution of Mid-Autumn Festival gifts to all employees of the company.
Finally, VMT wishes everyone a beautiful moon during the Mid-Autumn Festival, a happy family reunion, a happy life, the sun and the moon, and I am grateful for the moon of the sky god. If you taste the fruit and taste the full moon, you will definitely surpass your work, and if you are in a beautiful mood and love the moon, your career will inevitably make a leap.
