CNC Machining: What are the Steps for CNC Machining Parts?

33   |   Published by VMT at Dec 02 2021

CNC machining parts is an automatic machining equipment developed on the basis of general milling machines. The two CNC machining processes are basically the same, and the structure is somewhat similar. There are two types of CNC milling machines, no knives and magazines. One type of CNC milling machine with a knife is also called a CNC machining center.

After the CNC machining parts are clamped once, the CNC machining system can automatically select and replace the machine tool according to different programs. The system can also automatically change the auxiliary functions such as the spindle speed, feed rate, and the motion path of the tool relative to the CNC machined parts. It can continuously drill, punch, hinge, boring, tap, and continuously drill various CNC machining surfaces of the workpiece. Multi-process CNC machining such as milling.

In precision CNC machining, I learned to explain different manufacturing processes (burrs, extrusion directions), fluctuating caliper readings, flipped alignment pins, and so on. . I will also share about saving time without compromising the accuracy of cutting. This VMT assumes that you have never done CNC milling before, but in most cases it will not study how to process it (because there are already great tutorials ): Just share tips and tricks to achieve better precision cutting. Warning: This is a very intensive tutorial with a lot of text, but I just want to include more details to make things clear. The title of each step should be quite descriptive, so you can easily choose to skip some steps.

CNC Machining What are the Steps for CNC Machining Parts

(1) The preparation or programming of CNC machining parts should first prepare the CNC machining program. If the CNC machining part program is longer and more complicated, it is best not to perform machine programming, and use programming or computer programming to avoid occupying the machine, because it is short. The program should also be written on the program list.

(2) Turn on the machine first, and then turn on the CNC machining system. Some are interlocked, and the information cannot be displayed on the CRT without electricity.

(3) For machines with incremental control systems (using incremental position detection elements), this step must be performed first in order to establish a motion reference for each coordinate of the machine.

(4) According to the program storage medium (tape or magnetic tape, disk) to transfer the program, you can use a tape reader, cassette tape drive, programming machine or serial communication input, if a simple program can be directly used in the numerical control machining control keyboard Input on the panel. If the program is very simple and only processed once, there is no need to save the program.

It can be lost piece by piece and dealt with piece by piece in MDI way. In addition, the source of CNC machining parts, tool parameters, offsets, and various compensations used in the program must also be lost before CNC machining.

(5) Program editing Enter the program. If you need to modify it, you must edit it. At this time, the mode selection switch is placed in the editing position, and the editing keys are used to add, delete, and change. The editing method can be found in the corresponding instructions.

(6) The machine is locked and running the program. This step is to check the program. If there is an error, you need to edit it again.

(7) On the CNC machining parts, find out the machine that uses incremental incremental motion, continuous motion or handwheel movement on the knife. The starting point will be the beginning of the program and is also a good benchmark tool.

(8) The coordinate feed in continuous numerical control machining is usually carried out by the internal memory for numerical control machining. This method has a lower failure rate than the use of paper tape for CNC machining. The CNC machining feed rate can be adjusted by the feed over-acting switch. For CNC machining, you can press the feed hold button to pause the feed movement, observe the CNC machining or manual measurement. Shenzhen Nuovo Platinum Intelligent Co., Ltd. makes full use of various metal and plastic materials; high-precision CNC machining, CNC machining of metal parts is controlled at +0.01 mm, and plastic parts at +0.05 mm. We will wholeheartedly provide customers with more professional CNC machining services.

Press the "Cycle Start" button again to resume machining. In order to ensure that the CNC machining program is correct, it should be reviewed before remachining. In the CNC machining and milling process, for the plane curve of CNC machining parts, pencils can be used instead of paper cutters to make the contour of the workpiece more intuitive. If the system has a tool path simulation function, it can be used to verify the correctness of the program.

(9) Operate and display the various screens of the CRT to display the position of the workbench or tool, the program and the status of the machine tool, so that the worker can monitor the working status.

(10) The program output after the program is completed, if necessary, save the program in the NC machining memory. If the program is too long, the program in the memory can be output to an external device (such as a punch), tape, disk, etc. To be saved.

(11) The CNC machining machine should be shut down before the general system.
