CNC Machining: What are the Causes of Oil Leakage on CNC Milling Machines?

In the process of CNC machining, there will always be some trouble-free problems that we did not anticipate, but no matter what problems we encounter, we must solve them in time. Oil leakage is also a common problem. The oil spill is actually easy to find. It is easy to see which accessory is caused by oil leakage from the accessory or the cylinder of the CNC machining lathe. If it is an accessory, it is easy to maintain.

If it is a cylinder, it is very troublesome, and it will cause the CNC machining machine tool to be scrapped. So let's take a look at the cause of oil leakage in the CNC machining center?

There are three types of oil leakage in CNC machining milling machines: oil leakage, dripping, and oil leakage. Under normal circumstances, a drop of oil is dripped every 0.5h on the static joint surface and a drop of oil every 6nnin on the dynamic joint surface. Whether it is a dynamic bonding surface or a static bonding surface, when a drop of oil is dripped every 2-3 minutes, it is dripping oil; more than 5 drops per minute are flowing oil.

In order for the numerical control machining equipment to meet the general requirements of leakage control, there must be no leakage on the static joint surface of the equipment, and slight leakage on the dynamic joint surface is allowed, but it is not allowed to flow to the ground. A certain amount of leakage is allowed inside the equipment, but it is not allowed to penetrate into the electrical box and transmission belt, and can be led back to the lubrication box.

It also often causes oil leakage in CNC machining centers. The problems in the oil change process are mainly manifested in three aspects:

1. For CNC machined parts that use high-viscosity lubricating oil, changing to low-viscosity lubricating oil will affect the sealing performance of the corresponding box and shaft hole to a certain extent, and sometimes greatly reduce the sealing performance of the CNC machined parts.

2. If the oil tank is not cleaned when changing the oil, the dirt in the oil tank may enter the lubrication system, block the oil circuit, wear the seals, and cause oil leakage.

3. Too much oil is added when changing the oil, especially the parts with rotating parts, due to the stirring effect of the rotating parts, oil leakage is more likely to occur.

Oil leakage caused by improper selection and adjustment of CNC machining parts of the company's lubrication system.

For example, when CNC machining maintenance personnel choose an oil pump with excessive pressure or excessive oil output during maintenance, or when adjusting the system pressure, the pressure adjustment of the overflow valve, safety valve, pressure reducing valve, etc. is too large. High, and the flow rate of the lubrication system of the CNC machining machine tool is too large, which does not match the oil return system and the sealing system, which will cause oil leakage.

When the oil pipes and pipe joints are made of plastic or oil-resistant rubber products, the materials will age and become hard and brittle after long-term use, causing the oil pipes and pipe joints to rupture and cause oil leakage.

After long-term use of the sealing ring, especially those of CNC machined parts, the sealing performance will be lost due to friction and wear. In addition, if the gap between the shaft and the shaft hole (shaft sleeve) increases, it will also cause oil leakage.

The above points are the reasons for the oil leakage of the CNC machining center.
